Dark Infection

Hi, my dear readers ♥

Now this is something I haven't posted in ages - gothic party outfit ! I know it doesn't look like that, but we're still going to gothic parties from time to time. And even though I don't buy any new pieces I still enjoy dressing up in ripped fishnet tights, all black everything, put ton of black eyeshadows on my face and dance like crazy on Combichrist :D

Dark Infection is my favourite party in Munich, sadly it's happening only once in a year because of the special DJ guest who is one and only Udo Wiessmann ♥ I just love his noisy industrial sets, so loud my ears are ringing the whole day after :D

On the same day we went grocery shopping, next to our local Kaufland is Takko and I always have to take a look what's new... and suddenly I saw this PERFECT shiny silver Blade Runner-like jogging jacket and had to buy it - I HAD TO

So here's my party outfit with bit more "special" make-up than I usually wear.
(I miss those days when I looked like this on daily basis, but now I'm too old lazy for it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ )

We're just getting started

Hi, my dear readers ♥

Winter is never really outfit-photos-friendly, since it's dark most of the time and when it isn't, it's too cold to look pretty, so I just wear a lot of layers and have no mood for taking photos. But sometimes I'm lucky, the light is good so I can dress up a bit and take a few photos before going out.

One day I stumbled upon this great t-shirt in Takko and just couldn't leave it there even though I have enough shirts already. Because NEGAN ! We've been watching The Walking Dead since the start, sometimes it's great, sometimes it sucks a lot, but I still love it, I just can't get enough of zombies and the episode with Negan's Lucille vs. Glenn's head is legendary and one of my favourites (I'm terrible, I knooow) :D

t-shirt, cardigan - Takko

tights - C&A

I took this photo before we went to local shopping centre and I stepped into iStore for the first time in my life (ha ha, I know) to take a look at iPadPro to see what's all this hype about. I really wanted to try Procreate and guess what... I LOVE IT SO MUCH ♥ I can't wait to get my hands on it ! I plan to buy iPadPro for myself in New York this spring (◔◡◔) ho ho ♪

I hope you're all doing fine !

Cardinia Wrap

Hi, my dear readers ♥

In January I finally finished knitting "Cardinia" wrap from Ambah O'Brien, which I started in the middle of September :D No, it wasn't that complicated, I was just working on 100 other things and this became mostly my traveling project for car, waiting or  knitting while chatting with friends at café :)

The reason why I picked such a simple pattern was this yarn ! I was asked to help Czech yarn-dyer Lovespunning with logo design and business cards and accepted yarn as payment ♥ I picked this super-cute space pink colorway and wanted to use it on project where it will stand out. Cardinia wrap looked perfect for this idea and so I combined it with "Highlighter" from Hedgehog Fibres, which I bought at Stephen&Penelope when we were in Amsterdam :) Colourful neon combo - perfect match with my grey winter coat and visible on bike in winter days ♪

I'm really happy about the finished shawl ! It looks so good and it's very easy to wear ♥

we took these photos at the statue Friedensengel - Angel of Peace :) which is a very popular place for goth photoshoots and takeaway pizza evenings :D

At the moment there are three knitting projects on my needles - Bare Branches, Boxy and Zweig
(yes, one of my new year's resolutions was to work on only one project at a time ... ha ha)
What's on your needles ?

Sushi Party

Hi, my dear readers ♥

Today it's just simple outfit post ♪

In January, Rommily organized another of our favourite sushi parties at her place - it always consists of sushi making, over-eating, a lot of tea and some delicious homemade cake :3

I think this time we made the biggest pile of sushi ever :D And it was all so good !

I wanted to wear something nice, but also comfy and good for cooking. Which happened to be this blue top I made a while ago and never really took any photo of it ! Sometimes I'm surprising myself, I don't even know how I did it... I think I traced some of my t-shirt, made sleeves two times longer than they should be and added those thumb holes ♥ (my favourite thing on shirts!)

I matched it together with (slightly Bayerisch) skirt from Moshiki and striped tights ♪

First Fair Isle

Hi, my dear readers ♥

Knitting trend of this winter are definitely sweaters with fair isle yoke, inspired by Icelandic Lopapeysa and I love all these new patterns and projects from knitters I follow on social media ! Of course I would like to make one myself as well... the problem is that I never really tried fair isle before, so I decided to start on something simple !

Some of you maybe remember this hat I made a while ago from super-warm Icelandic Ístex yarn. It was cute winter accessory for my head full of dreadlocks, but now - with short hair - it's (was) too big for me. So I decided to frog this whole project and use the yarn again !

I picked a simple free hat pattern on Ravelry (Barley from TinCanKnits) and classical fair isle pattern from Pinterest. It was super-quick and fun, but now that I come back to it again I see all my mistakes and the reason why the fair isle sweater (which I started right after this hat was finished) couldn't work :D Even if it's not that visible I was holding yarn too tight and it ended up smaller that it should be. Which is fine with hat, but not OK with sweater... well...let's talk about my fair isle sweater experiments when I finally finish one, so I can learn from my mistakes and maybe give you some tips and tricks ...

Anyway, this hat ended up being really cute and warm and I'm happy about the whole recycling process :)

I hope you're all doing fine ♥

Have a beautiful day, everyone !

Christmas 2017

Hi, my dear readers ♥

A month after (that's not so bad, huh? I'm actually catching up with posts!) I'm here with Christmas-themed post ! I'm sorry to bringing it back, I know most of you are probably happy that the holiday season is over, but I promise there will be no family photos and detailed review of all gifts I got :D

First I want to start with traditional Christmas lolita meet-up - because that's important part of my holiday season ever since I started with lolita fashion :) This year, same as the last one - we travelled to Nürnberg, but this time luxuriously with car because Vanilla was going as well (thank youu ♥) ♪

This year the meet-up was happening in new place - super-cute café with cupcakes and pink&white striped wallpapers, but unfortunatelly no real food (and no wine D:), so we had to be in Nürberg much sooner and get lunch. We went to Low-Carb restaurant Soulfood Lowcarberia picked by Vanilla - as the name suggests everything there is low-carb, but also gluten free and there was tiny grocery store and bakery...and it was delicious ♥ ♥ ♥ Damn, I ate so much that day ! I even got a desert and two drinks and as the main course I had this "try-everything-plate" ha ha :D I could - because I knew that I won't eat anything at the café since there were only sandwiches and cupcakes and no gluten free options :) no problem ! I even got two cheese muffins as take-away and ate them later at the cupcake café ho ho !

The meet-up itself was cute, we met with everyone after such a long time and took some photos in the nice interior. What was not so cute was the fact that even though we had reservation for the whole room, muggles started to go there and take places at free tables and the staff didn't say anything. So they stayed, starred and even took some sneaky photos of us *rolls eyes* ...which all became even more awkward when we started playing games and because of the muggle audience half of the guests didn't want to participate... well, I don't blame them, because we really looked like some age-play party to strangers who didn't know anything about lolita fashion ...

...oh and the dresscode was "sweet and winter" ...ehm uhm ... pretty hard for me to put something together and I was a bit sad about this choice of styles, because I really wanted to wear my new (gothic lolita) skirt from Vienna... instead I had to improvise with my ouji wardrobe and ended up having... yeah - OK outfit - but I would rather dress up in something more fancy for event like this :/

blouse - Metamorphose
bow - from Bodyline skirt
waistcoat - ancient :D
pants - Innocent World
shoes - thrift store

The second part of this holiday-themed post is my outfit from the Chistmas Eve. We spent the first three Christmas day in Munich and then we went to Prague until January 2nd. On Christmas Eve Honza cooked delicious fish we bought in Spanish grocery store and I made a few schnitzels for dinner. We exchanged gifts and that took us so long that we didn't even had time to watch Home Alone as we usually do :D On 25th we decided to do something different than usual and went to cinema to watch new Star Wars... ugh that was a mistake ! Not only the movie was crap, but also apparently the whole Munich had this idea, so the cinema was full of kids D: We also went to vegan restaurant to have something lighter, but it was terribly expensive and the food was more like what-I-found-in-fridge than anything else... ugh - really a day full of bad decisions :D ha ha

shirt, pants - C&A
bag - TEABAG
shoes - Vagabond

 Christmas elfie :D

Satan got a new bed and plush spider ♥

I got Matcha set and plush onesie :D

ethically & ecologically produced headphones from House of Marley ♥ ♥ ♥

I don't have any photos from the Prague-part of our Christmas, but it was mostly about meeting with friends, family and on New Year's Eve we were playing Dungeons&Dragons until morning :D (then we went to sleep, visited grandma and played again)

I hope you all had a good start in 2018 and I wish you (very late) all the best in the upcoming year !

Have a beautiful day, everyone ♥

Museum Fünf Kontinente

Hi, my dear readers ♥

Winter is season of museum outing and gallery visits, which is (appart from snow and Christmas) probably the only good thing about this grey, ugly and cold part of the year.

In November we decided to visit something new and went to Museum of Five Continents in Munich, which is... well, instead of trying to re-tell the "about" from their website, I'm going to copy and paste part of it here for you to get the idea: "The Museum Fünf Kontinente, formerly known as the Staatliches Museum für Völkerkunde, was founded in 1862 as the first ethnological museum in Germany. The collection of artefacts of everyday life, ritual objects and works of art which are preserved and continually expanded here reflect humanity’s cultural diversity. They build bridges from the past to the present day and open doors to other ways of life and viewpoints. The Museum offers access to the cultural riches of the earth’s peoples in a way which is unique with Munich’s broad range of museums."

The musem's collection was quite amazing and really inspiring ! I loved the huge Budha statue from Japan and all kinds of patterns, jewellery and garment prints ♥

Here is a few photos I took for later as reference, or simply because I liked what I saw :)

My outfit was really simple, but I've been enjoying this casual style quite a lot lately ♪ Also I apparently can't get enough of (semi-)formal pants and I'm starting to own a little collection of them :D
