Braddock "Hufflepuff" Hat

Hi, my dear readers ♥

Autumn is the perfect knitting season - and you know how much I love autumn AND knitting, so it could be also the best season for everything, but it isn't. Because winter is just around the corner, dark days, no leaves on trees, cold, rain, ugghh ...I hate winter so much that it almost spoils the autumn for me !

Lucky for us winter-haters (I'm not alone in this, right?) there are always things we can do to make this season a bit nicer - for example knit new hat(s) ! :D

My first hat of this year is a beautiful mustard yellow "Braddock" hat, made from yarn which dear Striga brought to me from Paris ♥ It's an original yarn from local yarn store "Lil Weasel" and it has THE MOST BEAUTIFUL SHADE OF HUFFLEPUFF

The pattern from Christina Danaee is easy, quick and fun knit with an optional pompom ♪ (which I forgot how to make, so mine is a really tired pompom...)

Since the light is getting worse and worse I decided to try a new spot for photos in our living room, especially for knits - so we don't have to go outside :D It ended up looking really cozy, so I'm going to use it a few more times, I think ...

I hope you're all doing fine ♪

OpenFlair 2017

Hi, my dear readers ♥

On the first weekend in September we came back to Ingolstadt for one beautiful late summer day. There was a big market with all kinds of everything, called OpenFlair. It takes place in KlenzePark (which is the biggest park in Ingolstadt, I think?) and happens only every 4 years ! So I just couldn't miss it !

There is quite everything to be found, from medieval stands with hot mead, to oriental street food, tea house, pirate bar, rasta stand with ital food, turkish porcelain, ethno clothing, decorations, lamps, sweets, camel ride for kids, belly dance performances and music !

We came right on time for lunch - I got a delicious falafel with baba ganoush and Honza bough some oriental meat plate (I can't remember the name, but it was GOOD). We strolled around shops, I bought a hot mead (must-have), Honza bought me beautiful earrings carved from bone ♥ ... and we also managed to meet with our friends from Ingolstadt, which was amazing :3 (and also perfect opportunity to buy a few bags of roasted almonds in sugar, nougat and all kinds of sweets and feast on them together with our friend's kids :D ha ha)

spot Nana among the shop decorations :D

Without planning it any further I was wearing poncho which I bought on this market four years ago (IS IT REALLY FOUR YEARS ALREADY?!) and together with the Oakenshield shawl and my rounded glasses I ended up looking like a hobbit mage, again :D No problem with that!

Actually I liked this look so much that I decided to use it as my profile picture and also on stickers for my AUBERGINEN ART Etsy shop ♪

I hope you're all doing fine !

Cats & Knits

Hi, my dear readers ♥

Another cat-themed outfit is here ! I'm not doing this intentionally, I just have a lot of stuff with cats to compensate the fact that I can't have the real one :D

This is the last summer-flashback outfit post, starting next week I'm going to talk about various events I attended in September/October and also knitting, of course. Hopefully I will catch up with outfits ha ha :D

On this day we made a trip to Trudering with Rommily and Mina. It's still a part of Munich, but it takes me about an hour to get there, so it's really a trip - but totally worth the time ! In Trudering is our favourite yarn store "Wolle & Schönes" ♥ This time I didn't plan to buy anything, but of course I did - I finally found the courage to buy yarn for knitted product for my Etsy shop ! A big thing I was thinking of for quite a while :) You can take a look at them on RABBIT HEART shop  ♪

Back to the outfit !
How many cats can you see on my outfit ? Hat, skirt, tattoo and socks ! Also I like the black ribbon on one of my sleeveless shirts so much, that I decided to add it on this one, too - it just looks so good !

The super-cute yarn skirt was a gift from Han and she got it from RedBubble (I don't know the name of artist, sorry) ♥

I hope you're all doing fine ♥
Autumn is almost over noooooooo

Casual Mermaid

Hi, my dear readers ♥

For today, it's just another simple outfit post ♪
Lately I've been discovering a new combinations with my mermaid leggins - probably because my hair matches with them now more than ever ... for example I would never thought that they would look so great with brown shoes or with jacket, looking quite casual but still not :D ( Let's be honest, I can never look really casual, blending in crowd and all that stuff...¯\_(ツ)_/¯ )

I wore this outfit for one of our regular knitting meets at café. I usually wear skirt because I go with public transport, but this time I went on bike and we also took our weirdness to a whole new level, because I took a yarn winder with me and we were winding yarn the whole evening :D to be clear - I needed to wear leggins for this activity, because I usually spread the yarn over my knees and unravel it while someone else is spinning the handle and winding :)

In case you have absolutely no idea what I'm talking about, here's a gif of this process, just imagine me as the rotating umbrella thing (but of course I wasn't rotating at café)

And here's the outfit !
I found this jacket at thrift store, when KK was visiting me at the beginning of summer and now I wear it all the time ♥ I would never buy it, but KK persuaded me that it's the most versatile thing I can buy, so I did :D

top - C&A
leggins - BlackMilk Clothing
jacket - thrift store

I hope you're all doing fine !

Linho at Staffelsee

Hi, my dear readers ♥

This summer my main (travelling) knitting project was Linho sweater from Joji Locatelli. It was unexpected one, but I just couldn't resist this beautiful light design when it was released. I even made it in almost same colour as the original by Joji (only I didn't use linen yarn).

I was knitting this sweater on beach in Greece,in car while traveling around Bayern  and while sunbathing on our balcony ♪ It is an easy to follow pattern, stockinette stitch in rounds only with seven different repeats for the middle lace front. I would definetelly recommend this one for all beginners who would like some challenge ;)

When I cast Linho off my needles it was still too warm for sweaters, but I took it with me for a walk around beautiful Staffelsee and we made some nice photos at moorland around the lake - which is a perfect place, because the colorway of Holst Garn Supersoft yarn I used is called "Moorland" :) So I blent quite nicely with the surroundings ♪

I can't help it and must add some more photos of nature around Staffelsee, because there were some really beautiful places ♥ Opposite from the most of  blue streams around Alps here the water has an orange/brown colour, probably because of moors. We walked almost around the whole lake and took a ride on boat back to the starting point, with Aperol Spritz and apple pie on board !

I hope you're all doing fine !

Summer Classic Lolita

Hi, my dear readers ♥

I know it doesn't look like it at all, but I still consider myself being part of lolita community. Even though I wear my beautiful dresses only rarely these days :( The reason is that my schedule doesn't really match with local meet-ups and it's too far away for me to travel to Nürnberg and attend meets of Franconian Princesses like I did when I lived in Ingolstadt...

So I'm happy for every opportunity like, for example, birthday of one of my friends :) In July we met to have a lunch, stroll around Munich and celebrate Kathi's birthday. The weather was really nice, not too hot but still sunny, so I decided to wear classic lolita and straw bonet - I can finally fit my head on it, again :D ! (it was impossible to wear with dreadlocks)

I must say that I was a bit nervous while dressing up, even thinking about changing into something more "normal", but then I remembered how pretty I feel every time I wear my frilly dress and cute accessories ♥ Damn, I need more meet-ups !

 I hope you're all doing fine !

From t-shirt to tank top feat. CATS

Hi, my dear readers ♥

Today it's time for summer flashback! With a bit of upcycling and cats ♪

First the upcycling part.
I'm sure you remember my grey t-shirt from Nuclear Holocats with design from dear Striga ♥ It's a super-pretty t-shirt, but I found out that grey cotton shirt with sleeves is not really good for my anxious sweating self :D It's just too visible when you get sweaty in this colour and it makes me extremely uncomfortable, so I decided to make a few adjustments to this cute t-shirt :)

I cut off both sleeves and also the neckline and from the fabric leftover made a little loop which I used to hold together the back part, which added more fit to the loose tank top ♪
No need for sewing machine, just good pair of scissors, needle and a few centimeters of thread.

I was quite nervous about this, but it ended up looking great and I really like wearing it ♥

For the cat part : if you look closely, you'll notice that there is not only one cat print on my outfit ! The "Witchcraft" skirt, with cat skull print is from my RED BUBBLE shop

... um and yes, my tote bag is made of bubble wrap :D

I hope you're all doing great and don't forget to (at least try) upcycle before buying new clothes :)

Have a beautiful day, everyone ♥
